Meet the Team: The People Behind Sevenize
Behind every great travel story, there are people with unique backgrounds, passions, and perspectives. Today, we want to introduce you to the three friends who make up the Sevenize team – Wala, Raza, and Abd. Each of us brings something different to our adventures, and together, we create something special.
Wala: The Navigator

My Story
I grew up in a small town in the mountains, where the nearest city was a three-hour drive away. That sense of isolation and the constant desire to see what was beyond the horizon shaped who I am today. I’ve always been drawn to maps, atlases, and the idea of uncharted territories.
My Role in Sevenize
As the navigator, I’m responsible for route planning, logistics, and ensuring we don’t get lost (most of the time!). I love researching destinations, finding hidden gems, and creating itineraries that take us off the beaten path.
What Drives Me
- Sustainable travel - I’m passionate about traveling responsibly and supporting local communities
- Cultural immersion - I believe the best way to understand a place is to live like a local
- Environmental conservation - I’m always looking for ways to minimize our impact on the places we visit
- Photography - Capturing the essence of a place through my lens
My Favorite Travel Memory
Standing on a remote beach in Iceland at 2 AM, watching the Northern Lights dance across the sky. It was just me, the vastness of the Arctic, and the most incredible light show I’d ever seen. That moment reminded me why I love to travel – for those experiences that take your breath away.
Fun Fact
I can read maps upside down and have never gotten lost in a new city (though I’ve come close a few times!).
Raza: The Visual Storyteller
“Every frame tells a story, and every story deserves to be told beautifully.”
My Story
I’ve always been fascinated by the power of visual storytelling. Growing up, I would spend hours watching documentaries and studying how filmmakers captured the essence of different cultures and places. I knew from a young age that I wanted to create content that would inspire others to explore the world.
My Role in Sevenize
I’m the creative director and lead videographer. I handle all our video content, from planning and shooting to editing and post-production. I also manage our social media presence and work on our website design.
What Drives Me
- Visual storytelling - I believe in the power of images and video to inspire and educate
- Cultural documentation - Preserving the stories and traditions of the places we visit
- Technical innovation - Always learning new techniques and technologies
- Community building - Creating content that brings people together
My Favorite Travel Memory
Filming a traditional tea ceremony in a small village in Japan. The attention to detail, the respect for tradition, and the beauty of the moment – it was everything I love about travel and storytelling combined.
Fun Fact
I can edit videos while riding in a moving vehicle (though I don’t recommend it for quality reasons!).
Abd: The Cultural Connector

My Story
I grew up in a multicultural family and have always been fascinated by different languages and cultures. I speak six languages fluently and have a gift for making friends wherever I go. I believe that the best travel experiences come from genuine human connections.
My Role in Sevenize
I handle community engagement, local partnerships, and cultural research. I’m also responsible for our blog content and ensuring that our stories are authentic and respectful of the cultures we encounter.
What Drives Me
- Cultural exchange - I love learning about different ways of life
- Language learning - I’m always trying to pick up new phrases and expressions
- Community impact - Making sure our travels benefit the local communities we visit
- Food adventures - Exploring local cuisines and sharing those experiences
My Favorite Travel Memory
Sitting around a campfire in Morocco, sharing stories with a Berber family who had invited us to stay with them. Despite the language barrier, we connected through laughter, music, and the universal language of hospitality.
Fun Fact
I can order food in 12 different languages and have never had a bad meal (though I’ve had some interesting ones!).
How We Met
Our friendship began in college, where we were all studying different subjects but shared a common love for adventure and exploration. It started with weekend hiking trips and grew into something much bigger.
The idea for Sevenize came during a particularly memorable road trip through Eastern Europe. We realized that we had something special – three different perspectives, three different skills, and one shared passion for meaningful travel.
