Why We Started Sevenize: A Journey of Three Friends
It all started with a simple conversation over coffee in a small café in Prague. Three friends, three different backgrounds, but one shared passion: the insatiable desire to explore the world and share those experiences with others.
The Beginning
Wala, Raza, and I (Abd) had been friends for years, but it wasn’t until that fateful trip to Prague that we realized we had something special. We weren’t just traveling together; we were creating memories, learning about different cultures, and discovering parts of ourselves we never knew existed.
The idea for Sevenize came from a simple observation: while there were countless travel blogs and vlogs out there, we felt something was missing. Most content focused on the destinations themselves, but rarely on the human connections, the unexpected moments, and the personal growth that comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.
Our Vision
We wanted to create something different. Not just another travel blog, but a platform that would:
- Share authentic stories about the people we meet and the cultures we experience
- Document the real challenges of long-term travel, not just the Instagram-perfect moments
- Build a community of fellow travelers and adventure seekers
- Inspire others to step out of their comfort zones and explore the world
The Name “Sevenize”
The name “Sevenize” came from our belief that there are seven essential elements to meaningful travel:
- Discovery - Finding new places and experiences
- Connection - Meeting people and building relationships
- Growth - Learning about yourself and the world
- Adventure - Embracing the unknown and unexpected
- Culture - Immersing yourself in different ways of life
- Storytelling - Sharing experiences with others
- Impact - Making a positive difference wherever you go
Our Journey So Far
Since that conversation in Prague, we’ve traveled to over 30 countries together. We’ve:
- Documented our adventures through photography, videography, and writing
- Connected with local communities in every place we visit
- Learned multiple languages to better communicate with the people we meet
- Built a following of fellow travelers who share our passion for authentic experiences
- Created content that goes beyond the typical travel guide
